- Weather: Cabo is warm and sunny most of the year. Pack sunscreen, hats, and light clothing. Evenings can be breezy—bring a light layer.
- Water: We recommend bottled or filtered water for drinking (many visitors do this as a precaution).
- Safety: Los Cabos is generally visitor-friendly—use common sense, keep valuables secure, and stick to well-lit areas at night.
- Getting Around: Taxis are common but can be pricey. Rideshares may be limited depending on area. Many guests use pre-arranged airport transfers and walk/uber for short outings.
- Electricity: Same style outlets/voltage as North America in most places (no adapter needed for most Canadian/US devices).
- Language: Spanish is the official language. English is widely spoken in tourist zones.
- Emergencies: Dial 911 for emergency services. (Mexico moved emergency services to 911.)
Traffic is usually light to moderate, but can build up around peak dinner times and weekends near the marina and main resort corridor. If you’re driving, plan errands earlier in the day when possible.
Cabo has excellent options including large supermarkets and warehouse stores. Many guests stock up early for breakfasts, snacks, and beach-day supplies before settling in. There is a Costco very close to both rental locations as well as 2 Walmart locations in Cabo San Lucas.
